At this point I think we all understand the importance of quality sleep, as well as how challenging it can be to achieve. Sleep hygiene processes and products are always on my radar and I am regularly trying things that seem credible. Here are 2 Products around Sleep I have tested recently. Please keep in mind this is my personal experience and your experience may be completely different!
YAY- MoMA Cube Clock
A dark room helps many people sleep, including myself. We know not to keep our phones in our bedrooms (Right?!) but an illuminated nightstand clock presents a bright light issue. You would think with the awareness around sleep over the past few years there would be a ton of options, not so! BUT…here is a clock I found that works. It looks like a little grey cube unless you tap the top and then it brilliantly lights up for a few seconds, automatically dimming back to black. You can also clap at it and it lights up but I’m not sure who wants to clap at their clock at 3am? Regardless, it’s a YAY in my book.
NAY- Weighted Blanket
Have you seen these? I’ve been reading the buzz around weighted blankets for a couple years. The reasoning of why a weighted blanket might help with sleep or anxiousness completely makes sense to me, yet I’ve been hesitant to purchase one because they are pricey and seem slightly gimmicky. I finally caved and when I did, I was actually put on a WAIT list for the WEIGHTED Blanket! I ordered a 15 pounder and when it arrived I muscled it out of the box hoping to look like the below woman, or even the dog but I assure you I did NOT! I sent it back. Thank goodness they offered free shipping on the return.
